weird i have had many Illy CS4 crashes but never seen this message.

I don't understand why there's no auto start after crash and then ask the user if he/she would like to submit the report to Adobe.

- Because that's not the problem. I use CS4, I run PS, Illy and ID all the time and never crash. It must be a problem with you.monospaced

A couple weeks ago I had Illustrator (cs3) crash, good thing I apple+s every 20 minutes or so, right? Nope, the file I opened up right after was a version from a week before. Never had that happen before. Rats!
