Have you shut it down totally? (holding down power key for like 10 seconds)
Then boot in safe mode:

Had it had to replace logic board
- dibec0
yip. seems like your logic board is f i r e d. 2-3 days until you get the bad boy back.
Stressful question ... do you have everything backed up?
- robco0
Close to everything backed up... This happened before. It's like the computer is in sleep mode but won't wake up. The rest of the times I just restarted and everything was peachy

Whatt ist NV Ram reset?
- robco0
What are the chances of me losing everything if it is my logic board?
- ribit0
doesn't matter if logic board is dead, hard drive should still be OK.
You still need to do diagnostics with Applecare (or go through all the Apple Support docs).. you need to run through all the startup tests before you can know what's wrong..
- ribit0
Did you try booting in safe mode? What happened?
- ribit0
Have you tried starting with system CD and hold down C key?
Have you disconnected everything attached?
- ribit0
And there's target disk mode to try retrieve your data even if it wont start after talking to Applecare (and before removing the hard drive)

Naw, I can't even reboot. It won't let me do the ten second power hold thing either. When I turn it on, I hear things whirring to life but no grey screen or power chime sound. Nuthin..

unplug, take battery out, press power for 5 secs. reboot
- ribit0
Yes take the battery out.. that has a good chance of turning it off.
Did you try the system disc?(I think you need to call AppleCare really.. its all about doing the diagnostics properly... there's lots of things that can be tested/eliminated..
- robco0
Ya, I set up a time speak with apple care tomorrow. Thanks for all the help so far!
- robco0
Now my keyboard appears to be working...
Too bad I don't twittr, this would be perfect
- ribit0
AppleCare might want you to run the Apple Hardware Test (its on your install DVD, one of the startup options).. they talk you through it all..
