Bands with Logos

So, I know there have been threads touching on this in the past, but does anyone know any bands that successfully pull this off?
OTHER THAN: Tool, Metallica, Coheed and Cambria and metal bands etc.
I'm at a loss as a client is asking for a logo for this straight forward indie rock band, and I'm just looking for some inspiration. I can't think of any good examples off the top of my head.

Again, helpful, but can we try and narrow it to bands that are not HUGE, or metal. Something more in the same ballpark.

here's a few circular ones:
- A couple real gay bands represented there. That QotSA logo is kind of clever.CygnusZero4
- The Linkin Park logo is well done, although it looks like it belongs on one of those conspiracy sitesAmicus
