Anyone have good spots or ideas to check out? I have already shot downtown and Venice Beach (at night)

There's a few bansky spots--if you're interested in capturing street-art. Then there's Griffith Park, an abandoned industrial area good for long-exposures (go with a friend, it's dangerous).
If you're really up for a challenge, there's skid row.

Hollywood is a circus like Venice beach, some good freaks there. Santa Monica Pier is also pretty cool visually in the evening with people of all walks of life, fishermen, 1 man bands etc... There is good handmade signage to photograph all over, Huntington Gardens in Pasadena for flora, china town is cool, walk east over the river from there and there is some good urban grit. Off the top of my head
