Man I can't stop playing this game...The amount of creativity you can apply to this game is mind boggline

Yes indeed. I love it. A coworker and I play online all the time.
You on the 360? My screen name is MR SINISTRO
I have a couple big complaints about the game though.
I recently started to use the Create-A-Spot feature, which is awesome. But it sucks because you can't Edit-Replay/Film a spot that youv'e beaten. So, if, like my friend and I are doing, you beat someone's spot, you should be able to show them the tricks you did to do it. No proof, no pudding, you know?
Secondly, it really sucks that two people can't use a Create-A-Spot spot in online play. I would LOVE it if I could take my created spots, and battle someone else in that on line.
But all in all, I love this game. There's another thread around here for it if you search.

ahh nice - I need to get back on my Xbox live - I am on single player, but have been thinking about getting online...worth it? I have been watching some youtube clips that just show a ton of creativity in how people play the game...

i really enjoy this, but i feel like the 'creativity' might be lost on people who arent into skateboarding.
I love how realistic the movements of the skater are. Looks like they are actually balancing themselves.

yeah, I don't think this game would be nearly as fun if you didn't know how to skate.
Here are links to some of my clips:

If you start filming stuff, you should DL the Advanced Filmers Pack. Well worth it.

Baseline - totally agree - this is a game that a skateboarder will enjoy a lot more than others...I do think overall that Skateboarders are a very creative bunch - and are usually obsessed with art/design/street art in addition to skating...
I more like it that the game gives the tools to really be creative - although more objects to move around or a real level editor to make your own parks would be SICK
- whendog0
Whats in the advanced filmers pack? There seems to be a big community of directors who just want to make sick vids on here
- mg330
whendog,
it has more flexibility with the cameras - follow camera, tripod, and free camera. Check out this video:

is the advanced filmers pack a free DL?
- mg330
The filming is fun, but it really at times takes away from the free flow of the game. You spend a lot of time just either filming great tricks you did on accident, or working on one trick over and over to film it perfectly.
I'd really love to work on a long clip of multiple filmed tricks. There are some on youtube that just flat out blow my mind.
I remember that for Skate 1, someone completely recreated one of the great segments from Fully Flared.

do you have to level up in this game?
- Not in the sense I think you mean. But you do have to beat challenges to open new ones, merch, locations, etc.mg33

I have it too, although i don't play it as much as I used to
I didn't even bother with the career, it's friggin' rediculously hard, I just mess aroundsome of my wicked skills:

I own Skate but never purchased Skate 2. I was afraid it would be essentially the same game. Doesn't it even take place in the same city as the last one? Same stuff to skate? Does anybody own the 2nd one? Is it worth it if you already own the first?
- I meant does anybody own both? Obviously some of you own the 2nd.itsmitch

i couldn't get into Skate 1, it was hard as shit
- mg330
itsmitch,
Skate 2 is very similar, but more tricks, more realism. The physics and style of the way the skater skates is pretty noticeable. I think the overall city is better, and they did a good one by letting you download three of the most popular sections of the city - the Elementary School, the Community Center, and this parking garage.

I own both - The games are not too hard, once you get used to it...Although I can skate in real life:

Skate 2 is definitely worth a purchase - I have put probably 100+ hours into it, the world is massive and there are so many challenges / areas to unlock - They have also boosted the creativity on what types of missions you have to do, etc...
