I have a foam filter applied to a solid. Under the setting for Rendering I have a User Defined Bubble Texture and for Bubble Texture Layer I'm using a looping comp. Here's my progress so far.

What I don't like is that all the little particles are on the same frame of the looping texture at the same time. Is there a way I can randomize the starting frame of the particles?
Thanks in advance. I'm getting lunch.

offset them on the timeline?

if you have trapcode particular I would use that, you can pick the particle to start on random frames and I think you can also loop the particle, which would negate the need for your looping comp in your first AE post...

if my words were convoluted...

Tried it again with three but it still seems a little artificial.

I'll check out your source file at home. I only have CS3 here at work. Thanks for the tip.
- try amping up the velocity, shorten the particle lifespan, and turn up the emitter's particles per / sec.NONEIS

yeah particular is much more robust or even cc particle world, you can customize them a lot more.
