Red light on in the headphone socket. Not recognising headphones or speakers. Apple care said insert and remove headphones untill it works again. If that doesn't work try a tooth pick. I pay for Apple care, feck.

yup. This is my third MBP since November. A guy I work with was saying pc/mac = reliability/style and as much as I disagree with that I'm starting to see it!

ha yeah I've had a shocker with them. My imac was ace too, no probs there.

Just picked up my fourth replacement mbp, processor has been upgraded which is a bonus
