Shift LiveSurface updates with a load of new images. Great resource for designers.

yeah awesome ... but to expensive for just me – IMO, too

I would love to get stuff from them but as other said, they are bit expensive unless you buy a Credit pack.
I'm still looking for an more inexpensive solution. I'll have to keep on searching.
- I take back what I said. This is def a cheap option. Time to go and order up some credits.alkanenine

yeah, i've almost used them but the cost 'aint right.

This is pretty high quality stuff and a lot of work was put into making them. I think the price is just right for what it is.

As a one-man operation, I think their prices are fair considering what they provide.
- i'm a one man also but the outdoor series are only for inhouse?!?airey

they are quality but the prices aren't great and last time i read the user notes they only allowed proposal level work, not actually finished artwork:
"Outdoor Series images:
Outdoor Series images are intended solely for internal use in comping and private presentation (such as demonstrating to a client how their brand would look when applied to a billboard or a store window) or in editorial publication and may not be used for commercial purposes (such as being part of a final advertising image)."so effectively, we're paying for images we can't use except for inhouse artwork.
isn't that a little odd?
wouldn't a tiered pricing structure seem better - less for inhouse comps (and less res) and then more for higher res and wider use allowed?
just my personal view.

Hey guys. Just to clarify, we do now offer a tiered pricing structure based on usage. To get publication and advertising pricing on most images just click on "Presentation" when your image is in your cart. This is something new so we'll be making this a bit more clear on the site soon.
Without getting too Billy Mays here: our images cut the time it takes to photo-realistically visualize and present a concept from about 45 minutes to about 2 minutes. As has been said before, if you pre-buy Image Credits the per image pricing goes down to around $9/image. So, considering the hours of work that goes into each image and the fact that they're super high-res we think this is pretty fair.

Way too pricey for me!

Let's say a designer wants to put a book on their portfolio website that was never published. So are you saying that people are not allowed to use portfolio images that were created with livesurface? I bought some images from you earlier this year, and saw no such restrictions in the fine print. Perhaps this was after you made the switch?
- Portfolio use is considered presentation. You're right though - we need to clarify since we've added options.livesurface

I realise my post didn't sound what I meant ; live surface service is definitively great. it's the way I'd like to use it who made me think it's a bit expensive -for me- ; I can't grab any copy of most of the work I do,or a very bad picture which won't be fine for my needs, so I'd like to use livesurface to show my work. Itmeans I won't get any money from any clients.
29$ is not expensive att all regarding the quality of the pictures and the time saved using them.
that said I didn't pay attention to the fact the cost is cheaper with pre bought Image credit. mea culpa.
