Recently finished my Graphic Design degree, my portfolio is now ready to be published. Let me know what you think.....

hehe, I like to get to know a font, I find some designers use new fonts like new photoshop filters, taking the emphasis away from their work?
Thanks!

as a new graduate - most of your work is going to be school projects. I would show more work, 10-15 projects, and let those projects show a breadth of interests, focuses and differentiations. Your potential client wants to know you're not a one-trick pony, and being that you're just out of your program, it is difficult to claim the "one-trick pony" status as you are not an expert in it yet.
As a new graduate - you're work looks nice.

identity thanks for the advice! I completely understand what you're saying. I have a large selection of uni work, obviously some im not pleased with but I understand you saying I need to show them anyway.
Thanks!
- Well take a little extra time and bring some of those projects upto snuff.d_rek
- You can check out my student folio from lay may if you're interested.
http://drektion.comd_rek - of course it's not all rockstar, but it shows ability to conceptualize and execute solutions in a variety of waysd_rek
- Good thinking, better doing that now while im still on a role from my Uni deadline. Thanksphilkiel

Well, you can obviously handle the programs.
Here are the questions employers really want answers to: Can you show up for work on time, without any incapacitating mental deficits from drug or drink, keep your hands off the ladies/coworkers, not mouth off, not look like a human pincushion, and be in a decent friendly mood?
5 from 6 will land you a top job!
- Handle the programs: do enough to be helpful in a design firmboobs

I hope I can get 6 out of 6!
I completed 3 weeks work experience last year at http://www.uniform.net
The head of design there is expecting my call soon to take my folio in. I'd be extrememly happy with another few weeks work exp ( cant expect a job in the "recession")
Any advice?

Ah you'd be suprised... i graduated last may right on the cusp of the recession. I took a month off and then applied for gigs all summer. I landed an internship in august and then full-time at a studio in september. Just keep floating your resume and wares, make lots of phone calls and be persistent!

maybe let people know where you live or where you are looking for work. I had to take time to find you had been at Liverpool but not sure where you are based. Am i wasting my time calling from London if you only want to work in liverpool manchester?

Where's all the bazillion school work you've done?.
Get it up there!, from the quality of what it already online the rest should also be good.

"mapsillustrated" Good thinking, thats definately 1 thing lacking on the site. I am interested in working around the country so I definately need to let people know this.

Couple of questions...
Do I need more images of the work I have on the site?
Should I make my C.V/Resume available for download or send it via email?
