Is CS4 worth it?

There are some nice things about CS4 to be sure but unless Flash is your main thing, I don't think it is a required upgrade if you want/need to save a little cash. If you do Flash work, particularly timeline animating, it is a must I think.
I disagree that it runs faster but then it isn't really slower either. I do wish that adobe would take Apple's approach and focus on speed stability and interface for a Version.

Im still rockin CS2 at home. Works just fine for me.
We got CS3 a year or so ago at work, and based on the amount of changes from 2-3, i am not inclined to spend a wad on 4 yet.

Snapping in CS4 is great for alignment freaks like myself. The page setup/artboards menu in Illustrator is an ass pain though. I can't figure out how to simply change artboard size without doing the cropping guessing game. It's probably right in front of me and I just haven't found it yet. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

i dig CS4. on my mac book pro, it runs faster than when i had cs3.

The punch line is that is exactly what the CS4 version was meant to be... they just fucked it up massively

I upgraded to CS4 about a month ago and I think it is a vast improvement. Smart guides in Illustrator are much improved and on my Intel iMAC it runs much more smoothly than CS2... the computer is running more quickly overall.

CS4, now with 4x times more bugs. yeaaaaah. i thought 3x times was enough. i am not upgrading. (yet)

if you have CS3, then their is no need for CS4.
