there's a version 2 of this that's better:

LightWindow is good too:

Also make sure you're pointing to the right path for the js file. You'd be surprised how often that's the problem. :)

ok so lightbox 2.04 works better, but as you can see the photo isn't even above the black thing. what's the deal here?

If you're a hack and using DW, there is a extension on the adobe site that makes it very easy.

?

well it works now, but the image doesn't show up- just the black transparency.

image path is fine...

looks like your z-index: divs are above the image (in your css file). Try giving the image div a high z index, but I would look at lightwindow as suggested above.

because all of the images are 404 not found

hmm weird it shows up 1000pxls to the right.

That's crazy... did you get any type of message? I just checked and they are all there... the page loads fine but then when I click on any image, it freezes :(
- doesnotexist0
I don't get it- image in the lightbox is shifted way over. anyone know why?

Crap!! let me check again... btw, since you are here... do you know of any good/simple slideshow like this one?
http://www.scriptocean.com/slide…
No buttons, no descriptions... simply a continuous fade slideshow (to replace the flash one I'm using)
- dropdown0
It's not shifting for me, but I'm going to guess it's because you have horizontal scroll. Use the new version of light whatever, and it may sort itself out.

I would suggest lightwindow over lightbox, unless lightbox has added new features to allow for opening many more different types of media and files.
Have a look at this, for example:
http://www.mg33.net/photos2/japa…That's using lightwindow to open an HTML page with simpleviewer.
All I'm saying is, lightbox is a little limiting; if you're going to spend the time getting it right/figuring it out, I'd go with something a little more versatile.

the html comment in the css file is breaking it.
also, font-color is not a valid property, and "none" isn't a valid background-color (transparent)

K!! fixed it... thanks ace!!
