What do you think of this?
- Claymantis0
Come on, it took me 6 months to make this dam thing...

Not really that intuitive. I'm not exactly sure what I'm supposed to do or how I accomplish it. Some usability affordances would be nice, may be some descriptive text to the right that explains what I'm doing or just did or what I can do.
- Claymantis0
I see.
Well the landing page explains the questions you are asking.

Sort of agree with ninja. It's nicely done overall, but it feels slow and heavy, and I also wasn't finding it intuitive. Another thing - I didn't see it everywhere, but when I am selecting a particular item, in this case it was refrigerators:
1. If I changed my mind and wanted black instead of white, the current one just disappeared, no new one.
2. Seemed like everything was kind of the same color.
- Claymantis0
yea thats a good point
- Claymantis0
the project was really rushed in the end... so these kinds of things were not smoothed out...

Everything is the same color.
- Claymantis0
Do you mean all the different materials are the same colour?
- yeah, i kept trying to click the different color options.baseline_shift

scroll feature is very buggy - took several efforts to try and use and then it just goes to the other end
doesnt really scroll
- Claymantis0
Which scroll feature?
- when i select a fridgeWeLoveNoise
- ahhh yes the quark javascript... scrollClaymantis

Elaborating on harlequino's point. Removing things is a bit awkward. Say I want to switch from a cooktop to a range, there's no indication that something is already selected, and when I hover over it, there's no indication that I can remove it. It's not too hard to figure out that clicking on it removes something already selected, but you really do have to consider the lowest common denominator in these types of applications.
- Claymantis0
yea for sure.
Those are all good points.
We ended getting up getting the 3d assets last minute and the actual logic of how things were turned on and off... was ram together. Thanks for the feed back tho.

The scroll tab with the arrows goes outside the scroll area in the L shape kitchen.
Why are all the kitchens so dark and dreary? Not very inviting.
- Claymantis0
The kitchen we rendered by someone who like using black alot.
I think it works with the app but yea they are all little depressing haha.

You need to have some sort of loading visual when you click a new colored appliance... change the mouse cursor or something. It's very slow loading at that part and I clicked 4 times before anything happened.... I'm pretty sure it was just the load time, but it appears buggy without any kind of visual update.
- ninjasavant0
Front loading instructions doesn't really work. Its why video games started making the first level a tutorial.
- Claymantis0
Those are all really good points.
Thanks!

looks good

I wouldn't expect people to read that paragraph on the landing page. They'll want to jump right into the configurator so I'd keep that in mind and walk the user through the process.... STEP 1: CHOOSE A FRIDGE ABOVE, etc

what if i want my kitchen in yellow?
