see the accountant but i've got a few friends that work for older clients when they came back here to aus. it works pretty well if you set the right systems up. basically the work gets done by you when they're asleep and then they can get the client to approve / make comments while you're asleep. means for the right job the studio gets a 24 hour work day. also, you'll be quoting in pounds so the exchange rate works for you in aus. see the accountant though.

I'm an Australian moving from London to New York. My visa in up in London so I can not legally work here. While in the UK I have worked for some clients that I would like to continue working for when I leave the UK .
Has anyone got experience doing international freelance work like this? Working for UK companies from the US or from Australia.. Are there TAX or any other legal issues I should be aware of?
I should see an accountant about this but thought it might also be helpful to ask here.
any advice or links to resources would be appreciated.
cheers
