I am just about to redesign our studio site...torn between html and flash...I know reasons for and against...but i STILL can't come up with and answer can some link some hot css/html studio sites that are not over designed...and some simple flash studios sites...i am looking to do a design that wont date with in 6-month to a year even 2

Some design gets dated within 6 months, in one or two years most design looks dated.

What are your plans for the site? Put the aesthetic considerations aside and think about the best platform for achieving your goals.
If you want to update frequently, have your site act as a content destination and be easily findable via search engines etc, at least an HTML framework is probably the way to go. If a totally immersive visual experience is the most important thing, then make it all Flash.

combination I think, as a FE developer i would recommend. HTML with flash banners and interactives but html content. you can do a lot with javascript these days. check out : http://jquerystyle.com/

Depends on how you want it all to feel. I've seen some great uses of html based sites, but they all feel like html (grids and boxes). Hybrids typically feel like this too (as that's what they are, essentially).
If you want something more fluid and unique, Flash, if you want something more standard (which can still be excellent) then you have to look more closely at updates, etc.
We are developing our new site in Flash (last one was html, I swore I would never do that again!).

Do what do you do best and show what you intend to sell.
I hope that's HTML, personally, but what do I know?
