How do I make my animated gif really fast?
When I'm building the animation in Photoshop it runs at a very fast pace, but when viewing the finished gif in a browser it really lags. Changing my frames to 0s (No delay) doesn't really help. How can I increase the fps?
I use FW for gifs but there should be a setting for FPS.
the lag could be load time too...
... once it's cached - does it play accurately?
Even after it's cached it doesn't run like that gif posted above. I'm building it on a MacBook Pro, but I've tested it on a Dell laptop in Internet Explorer and the Windows viewer thingy. Same results across the board.
Jnr, that's uncalled-for.
PS doesn't have frame rate per se.
they do allow duration on each frame. which isn't really the same. i'd try FW or even convert something from flash
I'm simply animating text moving across a colored background. I figured this would result in fast animation, but I was wrong.
In the late 1990's, I used gifbuilder to make fast, small animated GIF's, as downloads were slower, computers slower,etc...
trick 1: small color pallette
trick 2: only change what has to change, so there's a background layer, and the only contents of each frame is what changes, not anything else.
