also, if you want something which will look grimly cinematic, the motorway and expressway and the area around it would do the business
Park Circus is really nice, and big. The Kelvingrove is an amazing building, Dowanhill drips cash and is worth a wander round, etc etc etc

if you walk up st vincent street looking up all the way, it has as amazing a collection of properly beautiful or crazily bonkers architecture you are ever likely to see in a city centre
