When designing a printed portfolio (to take to clients/interviews etc), is it worth having a description of each project or is that pointless as you'll be talking about the work?
Cheers.

Are you going to leave it their?

a title of the project and a little description would be nice. even if you'll be talking about the work.

Yeah so would have it printed on the first page of the project. Just as plusminusbox said, it would only be a small description. Couple of lines.

I say put a description. Because A: the chance you may leave it behind or not present, and 2: it helps you remember important key points you may have otherwise forgot when presenting.

a short description doesn't harm, but make sure that you don't just read it loud while presenting your folio ;)

Cheers for the help. Better get cracking.

make sure someone else gets to read your short descriptions, in case you missed something etc. :-)

hopefully you wont be presenting it to 6 other people. i had that happen to me. in that case, a digital / projected version would work much better. :-)

Off-topic: your portfolio (site) is fantastic. Now I feel bad about myself.
- Wow, thanks very much. You've got some nice as well. Like the grab bag bits.PPirate

Also, what would be a good number of projects to show? Something around 10-12 (providing I have that many good ones)?
