yeah, because im going to see the movie for the awesome acting of Jason Statham. He was amazing in Transporter 2 and 3. I hope his acting in Crank 2 is as good as it was in the first one. He was robbed at the Academy Awards...i couldn't believe he wasn't even nominated!

I loved that guy on snatch, I saw transporter1 and I thought the movie was so cheesy that I never gave 2 or 3 a chance.
This looks like it won't be my cup of tea though.. I might give it a chance on dvd

if you don't know to leave your brain at the door before going to see a film like this, you deserve any torture you endure from it's over-the-top action shenanigans.
i loved the first, i'm sure i'll love the second.

plot: Chelios faces a Chinese mobster who has stolen his nearly indestructible heart and replaced it with a battery-powered ticker that requires regular jolts of electricity to keep working.

It was not released to critics to review with the usual advance timing, that's usually the sign of a movie that's not too good....

the first one was a tongue in cheek action film that was overtly self aware of it's declining genre. they weren't trying to dress it up to be a clever. i can see the sequel trying to push things even further and be even more over the top. it's unfortunate that statham has so many cack films under his belt which distract from the fact that crank was an impressive all out action movie. also with mike patton behind the soundtrack on high voltage it's worth seeing for that talent alone.

Max Erdenberger did all the motion and graphic design and he is awesome. U all are designers, so see it for that alone. Plus i have a thing for cholla strippers with automatic weapons. bye.

any dude has to admit that the first one was one of the most enjoyable "guy movies" made for a long ass time. Was it great because of the acting or the plot? No, it was just so ridiculous that it was awesome.
That said, I fear the sequel may fall a bit short.
