I am incredibly shocked at the response this thread has gotten. Is "stoner metal" the new big subgenre or something? I mean, I have "Blues for a Red Sun" on vinyl for fucksakes. I had a chick friend who was always like "Ew..what is this old sabbath shit you are listening too..." and then last year she's all like "Ohh..that Josh Homme is dreamy..." And I play her Kyuss again and she's all "Oh my god, this is amazing!!" I wanted to hit her...

I wouldn't call Burzum stoner metal by any stretch of the imagination.
However, even though he is a complete racist douchebag and murder, he has influenced just about every good black metal band I can think of.
