dude, dude, dude.... i hope no one of us will ever suffer cancer.

how old is he?

My mother died of emphysima. Watching her struggle for every single breath was unbearable to watch. Just take extremely short, shallow breaths for a minute and see how foul you feel. Then imagine being like that all day every day.
Dying sucks.

Cancer killed my Mom. On Mother's Day (also her birthday). It was horrible to watch, absolutely horrible.
Alzheimer's got my Dad, but that seemed easier on him, than on the rest of us. He was very cheery, right until the end. But his faculties had left the building several years before.
Death of a loved one is horrible.

@Stimuli, guess thats me. 3 grandparents dead by cancer, 1 parent & 2 uncles.

Fifteen people responded to this thread so far. Ergo approximately five of us will suffer from cancer at some point in our lives.

Yeah, I dont think this post was malicious. In fact before this post, I wasn't aware of the severity of his illness, I've actually been a bit educated by some random post on the Qoob. This happens MAYBE once a month.
I think we all agree we wish the best for Mr Swayze and his loved ones.

I've been hearing more about pancreatic cancer lately.

I find him inspirational. Not giving up and still getting out and about when he is clearly very ill. Good luck to him.

good to see he's still out and about

In interviews you can see the sadness, but dude still irradiates positivism.VectorMasked

def coco didn't seem to use it as entertainment...
but as ninjasavant said... people (mostly the media though) should let him have some dignity.
If the focus was his work (even if a pic showed his illeness) it'd be alright.
- if anyone thought I used this as entertainment, they are wrong. seriously.coco_ono
- yeah we know...
:o)VectorMasked - I'm glad you're here to back me up, vector :)coco_ono
- how could I not back you up!?

I imagine coco did not meant any harm by this thread, in hindsight I guess she realises it's a bit morbid.
- I agree with the first part, don't get the morbid.Kiggen
- Well, I'll settle for that, I just means it's a bit gloomy looking at someone close to death.Jnr_Madison
- think she is more shocked...Kiggen

I wish the tabloids would let the guy have his dignity in his last days.
