friend is iming me and saying when he's shifting facing pages, the content is actually shifting within that facing page. doesn't seem right and i don't want to open InDesign. anyone ever run into this issue?
thanks

does he mean that it fucks things up because his inside margins are equal, so when you move a page the outside becomes the inside margin? if that makes sense?

If he is shifting a right-hand page to a left-hand position content will move.
- always?fiver
- If the inside margin is different to the outside margin, then, yes.MrOneHundred

yeah, what both of you said i think........ is there a way around that?

Allow pages to reshuffle. There's a setting for that in the Pages palette. It should work.
- Or allow spreads to reshuffle, I don't have InDesign on this machine.monospaced

Aye, what monospaced said, or if that doesn't work, turn off 'Facing Pages' in your Page Setup (apple+option+P)

...or make the document non facing pages, make the inside and outside margins the same and move them around. Depends on the complexity of the page. Are there lots of master page items like footers, folios, etc?
- Pylon beat me to it.MrOneHundred
