So i have this bit of css to make borders around thumbnail links change on hover. It works in FireFox and IE, but is a no go in safari.
#Div3 {
position:absolute;
left:305px;
top:150px;
width:500px;
height:388px;
z-index:4;
}#Div3 a:link{ text-decoration: none;
color:#FDB927;
padding:1px 1px 1px 1px;
}#Div3 a:visited{ text-decoration: none;
color: #FDB927;
stroke:1px; :#FDB927;
padding:1px 1px 1px 1px;
}#Div3 a:hover{ text-decoration: none;
color:#fff;
stroke:1px; :#fff;
padding:1px 1px 1px 1px;
}
#Div3 a:active{ text-decoration: none;
color: #fff;
stroke:1px; :#fff;
padding:1px 1px 1px 1px;
}Couldn't find anything on the google. Ideas?

what is 'stroke:' ? and why do you have a colon before the color?

border: 1px solid #fff; is what you want

you can has many div's as you'd like :) you can even 'overlap' them and go crazy.

It worked... sort of.
Its still fine in ff and ie. But, in safari, it created boxes behind the thumbnail .jpgs in a strange shape.
In other browsers, its a 1px border around the .jpg.
any ideas whats going on here?

- only in safari. its a normal 1px border everywhere else ive tried.baseline_shift
- try moving the border style to the img instead of on the a7point34
- that negated the hover states...baseline_shift
- nevermind. it works when i remove the color from the img tagbaseline_shift
- cheers! thanks for the help.baseline_shift
