ok so started using a mighty mouse recently and its known that its very poor. and it is.
in the past i have used microsoft mice and found them to be pretty decent.
not long ago i bought a logitech G5 gaming mouse but it behaved bizarrely on mac and it was very narrow, so i passed that onto a mate.now im on the look out for something sensibly priced thats comfortable and won't leave me in agony after a few hours use and potentially RSI etc.
any recommendations? (not got the money or requirements for a wacom!)
thanks

I use a Logitech MX Revolution, and I love it. It's nice and heavy, making precise movements easy. The laser works on pretty much any surface and the free-spinning scroll wheel, with a built in fly-wheel clutch, makes navigating documents so much easier. It's extremely programmable and is wireless as well (with a pretty cool charger, I might add). The only downfalls are that it's not Bluetooth so you need to keep a USB receiver plugged into the computer, and there is no way to fine tune the pointer acceleration dynamics. Even still, it's one of the best computer mice I've ever used, and I would recommend it to anyone.
- thanks mono checked it out, looks like a contender, it looks big enough to fill my hand too.Samush
- I have big hands too, and I guarantee it's one of the biggest on the market: perfect.monospaced
- how big is the usb?uberdesigner

what's wrong with your mighty mouse?
- I personally don't like the placement of the laser, the light weight, or the small non-ergonomic design. The 360 wheel is far from perfect, too.monospaced

ebay for a cheap tablet?
also, i've found that people who have been in the business for awhile, especially agencies, usually have an older model lying around that they can't sell for a worthwhile price. ask some friends if they have a spare?
i can't understand designers using mouses
- mouse = brick in photoshophorton
- photoshop = not for designersmonospaced

mouses are for office women

I use a tablet a lot, but for InDesign and Illustrator work a mouse ends up winning out. Precision clicking with a tablet can be a nightmare.

i have a cheap tablet from ebay, but its cheap and from ebay, so its not great at all.
under recommendation from monospaced - Logitech MX Revolution
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech…btw- mighty mouse is much too narrow for my hand, hence MX revolution looks interesting for its width more than anything.

i just bought a bluetooth mouse, i didn't want to put out the bucks for a mac mouse, and ya, i heard they were kinda crap
so i bought this one: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olsp…
it's not as pretty as the mac mouse, but it's not ugly either. it's bluetooth, and great on batteries, i haven't replaced them in the month and a half i've had it, and i never turn it off. it synced with my mac in seconds, and it does side scrolling too. plus it was cheap. don't be scared away because it's the 'Best Buy' brand, i'm actually really happy with it.
the only thing it won't do is work with your mac's mouse battery meter, but that's not really a huge problem.
