So I need to get a new battery for my MBP - it's from 07, and it's the last version before the final 07 model refresh.
If I go to the Apple store, (and I know I can ask some mimbo in there) are the batteries that they carry compatible with the older models, or are they for newer models? I saw one in the store a few weeks ago and they looked identical. Just don't want to make a trip over there if there's not chance the battery will work for the old one.

The ones they carry in the stores are for the new models. For something from 07 you are probably going to have to call and order it or go online.
