Weird question:
Has anyone heard of chicken/rabbits dying from flashes/strobe while being photographed?
For some crazy reason I have to take a picture involving a chicken and a rabbit and it would be really fucked up if they die!
- PIITB0
now that is some fucked up shit.
- Hall0
yes. it can happen

They don't just die. The moment that flash goes off, they splode.
Makes a mess, so cover the carpets in plastic.
Also, they're best photographed in a well ventilated area so as to avoid respiratory problems (on part of the photographer). Some fumes may be toxic.Hope that helps...
- come on! kids will be there man! really need some helpAmbushstudio

I know chickens don't. I had a neighbor that raised them.
I do know that rabbits are super sensitive and tend to shock easy and die of shock...- Actually, if the rabbits are younger then you have to be careful. Seriously.Cptn_Uncanny

More a chance of the client dying from shock, after you tell him this was a legitimate concern.

I don't know the answer to this question, but I can't wait to find out :)

It did just occur to me though... I've seen lots of chickens and rabbit on the front of greeting cards and such... do you think any of them died? (part of me is hoping someone will say yes)
- mmm maybe they were shot with available light..., tungsteen, hmi or something like thatAmbushstudio

I was photographing frogs with a flash and they were fine but once they were put back into their carry case they started eating each other, I found out later that the frogs saw the flash as sign of the apocalypse and there instincts kicked in! I had to take them back to the zoo all bleeding.
