I'm approaching a year out of school and figured it would be a good time to refresh my site look.
Wouldn't mind some feedback. :)

I really like your site and portfolio. Well done.
The fact that you had QBN top of your daily cup of Interwebs gets you points too :)

For some reason the top menu doesn't work too well with the rest coz of the caps. it doesn't quite work.
yes I am too picky.
Shouldn't the "p" in "project-am / Sole Proprietorship" be capitalized?
Not digging the extra space on the footer.
- or is that already set to always be in lowercase?VectorMasked
- I try to keep the 'p' lowercase as it's just something I've always done for that name.weaksauce

Not bad mate.
Footer looks a bit unfinished. Personally I'm sick of the popup / javascript gallery thing, but it does the job.
I'd work up your logo for screen (exact pixels), the aliasing looks rough...- Good eye on the logo, I'll definitely fix that. Will take a look at different footer options.weaksauce

Lose everything "about" or use javascript to hide/reveal sections instead of just scrolling down the page
the about seems to detract from the overall
- I like this idea. Possibly a short version of the about section that's able to expand and reveal the rest? I think then it wouldn't detract much from the work.weaksauce

Thanks for the feedback guys! It always helps to have a fresh eye look at something after you've been staring at it endlessly.

Get rid of the box behind the links and header

Put your "about info" before the "contact info" should not be the first thing someone sees.

Looks good. I'd prefer seeing Work at the top. Then brand experience. Then About. Good luck.

well done sir.

I appreciate the feedback guys. Some useful suggestions. I'll be making some changes tonight and re-uploading.

The whole "Brand Exp" section is really a big wank when, isn't it? Especially since you didn't include any of your actual work for these brands in your portfolio.
But hey, maybe you're going for clients too stupid to think critically and just be impressed that you have a Nike symbol plastered across your site.
- yeah, this could go either way. maybe you could just make them a little smaller. They are almost as important as your folio at this point.baseline_shift

overall, nice. I dig the subdued color scheme, and the scrolling nav.
the section that says "i am currently..." is the only spot on the site where i find all lowercase. Everything else is all caps or sentence case. Its nit-picky, but that should probably follow suit.

@fate_:
I appreciate and respect your observations. As some designers may be familiar, often times contracts will include a section that states you are unable to publicly display the work you've done for that company. That's the case in the current brands I've been working for. The work I've done for Nike, on the other hand, won't be released for quite some time and they request that you don't display it until a month before its release. The link below the work allows me to show my work in a private setting, which is more acceptable/allowed.
In response to your "no one cares..." comment, I feel it is important to allow potential clients/employers to get a little insight as to who you are as a person instead of just having a cold, unemotional website. It gives you a small degree of separation when they are sifting through heaps of résumés and portfolio sites. It may just give you enough separation to let that employer know that you have the personality that fits perfect in their agency, or the complete opposite, in which case you probably wouldn't want to work there anyway. As far as the "daily cup", if it does nothing more than provide a few links that fellow designers may be interested in, that's all I really care about. In any case, it'll give someone an idea of what I'm interested in and that's its intended purpose.
Thanks for checking out the site!

I don't get that the nav disappears. Bad decision.
