Hey,
Two things:
1. I'll be in London April 9-12th with my brother and mom. Any QBNers wanna get a drink one of those evenings?
2. I'm finding rates of $140/night for triples in the city proper. Any good hotels you can recommend with excellent prices?

You checked out lastminute.com? My Dad tends to do that whenever he fancies popping over to London.
You might want to keep this bumped vis a vis a drinkup - I, for one, usually can't plan that sort of thing more than a day or three in advance!

I'm finding things starting at $199/night. Maybe $140 is good. Nairn, do you know the area that the Londonium Tower Hotel is in? It seems more businessy than touristy. Which, I assume, is why it's cheaper, too.

$140 is a good price to be in the city proper.
The Tower is on the east-ish edge of the city and "the city" is basically businesses and banking institutions, on the tube you're about 20 minutes from westminster. You are relatively close to the hipster east side galleries and such though.
A friend of mine was in town recently and stayed here: http://www.millenniumhotels.co.u…
it's a fairly nice place, 10 minute walk to hyde park and 5 minutes to Kensington high street station.

I managed to book on through LateRooms for $321.80 for 3 days. Great price! Neighborhood said "Southwark". Is that an okay area? Looks pretty nice/safe.

I'll have a drink with you. I have long grey hair, leather pants, and embroidered denim shirt and cokenail. Look out for me.

Take easy mate, you're not gonna die. Southwark is a good place.
Have Fun.

Cool. And if anyone wants to get a drink, look me up while I'm there. You know my hotel.
