A new (but somewhat retro feeling) Flash Papervision game what I made.

Fans of C64 chip-music and old 80s Maze Puzzle games should like it.
Should any of you out there but thinking of using Papervision in big projects, be warned I had quite the time, getting this as far as I did, Papervision is amazing for 3D UI but lots of work for anything bigger (even a relatively simple game like this).

thanks :) I always get quite nervous showing my stuff on QBN as it's filled with other people from the industry so it means lots.

I liked it. The baddies seemed to be going in loops the same way so got easier when I worked that out. You probably know. just thought I'd say.
Good stuff!

Very nice, kudos to you.
So what are the alternatives to PaperVision if you want to get 3D into flash games with less hubbub as ChrisError mentioned?

harlequino, I'm not sure there is a less hubbub route. Alternativa seems very polished (but is not 'free' like Papervision.) I would be very wary to be honest before setting out on a 3D flash game. I am hoping to make a sequel to PandaHatesMaze (a resident evil inpsired PandaHatesZombie) but I will be doing things quite differently, and using some odd tricks to improve performance (like object pooling and swapping), maybe I'll write a blog about it :)
Apparently Papervision X (Flash10 version) is about to launch soon, which will provide more power, but I am not sure if some of the memory issues I encountered will be fixed or not.
oooorrr of course, you could do what I am doing now for the rest of my 3D games and use Unity3d (www.unity3d.com) which also means you can make iphone games, like thus :

^Good to know, thanks.
I was trying to remember the Unity3D thing, was on the tip of my tongue. Looks like the other option outside of building your own engine.
