i did something very similar for a year but in spain. i have no regrets but it's much harder to re-adjust than you expect.

Do it. Imagine the stories you could tell in your interviews that no other applicants could. It will only boost your chances of getting future jobs, imo. I even bet the interviewer will be envious! Good luck!

I would do something, but not go and teach english and stuff as is that what drop out students do?

It sounds like you need a break, you don't necessarily have to go for 6 months there are plenty of pro grammes where you can choose how long to go for. there is a good one in Malaysia where you can go for a month, 2 months, etc. If your worried about taking too long out of the business market. If you have got a good support network for when you get back (ie place to stay while you find a new job) I would go for it. Plus by all accounts having a few friends who have done similar things it very easy to meet people on the teaching english projects.
