Does anyone have experience with this? I created a large vector illustration (~60in x 48in) that I want printed on Canvas. Maybe you can recommend a decent online vendor for me. There seem to be a bunch out there, but I have no idea who's good and who's not. Thanks Qoobs.

Find a screen printing shop, the sort who do those scruffy music posters... a lot of those shops also do letterpress, though I wouldn't recommend anything but screen printing for canvas.

"online vendor"...
Gar, I hate that term. "Online vendors" would be places like Modern Postcard, which is entirely unsuitable for such a project.
You might be able to find them online, but you need to check the place out in person, since what you want to achieve is such a highly tactile result.

Sure, I may have to go local. It'd probably allow me to have a lot more control over the final product. Although this seems like such a simple process, right? http://www.imagekind.com/shop/la…
The artwork has a rough, vintage feel to it, so the final piece doesn't necessarily have to be pristine. Screenprinting canvas seems like a more intensive (and more expensive) process. What are the advantages? Is it worth it?

i got some stuff printed on canvas at a print house in new york. it was a flatbed UV cure printer, and they printed right onto the stretched canvas. they did mostly promo stuff for retail, displays, signs, i imagine there are other shops with similar gear.

There was some bloke whoring his wares a few weeks back with a sale of posters and shit and part of it was printing on canvas.
I can't remember what the craic was with it though, as I wasn't really paying attantion, just taking the piss. Search for 'sale' or something in the pvn, might throw up a response.
- nope, tried to find it, no joy.shitehawke

dibec, what if the artwork was rough-looking, so that it didnt look like a vector. do you think that would sit better on the texture of the canvas?
I think i'm going to take the vector into photoshop and sort of "vintage" it up a bit, maybe fade-out some areas. it's old-school cycling related, kind of has the tonal quality and warm colors of this photo. It shouldn't look too bad.
