^ as someone has already said, yeah get an old handbook and try to do it yourself. engines are easier to dismantle and put back together than you think. plus you'll save a ton of money. $800 for a head gasket? no thanks - do that shit yourself for ~3 hrs and $3.

We just bought a new car by trading in junkers and getting some decent insurance. We hope it's peace of mind insurance and we hope the new investment allows us to not think about whether or not we need to invest in fixing a car not worth the cost of fixing. But yea cars suck, and dealer financiers suck worse.
