Organizing music

I have some questions regarding this topic.
(1) If you have a lot of foreign music, how do you organize it?
Is there any way you can organize songs by language? Can you make a smart playlist?
(2) What playlists do you currently have, and is there any practice you found that works well?
(3) When you have all of these songs from the same artist (different albums though), why is the Last.fm album image the same thing for all of them, even though they have different album images in iTunes?
Thanks.

See, I want to organize songs by artist name, but I want to keep English separate from other lanaguages. I have this issue where I don't even want to see them mixed together in the main music playlist, which is just my own problem, I guess. I would have to individually change all of the artists back to their actual names (over the years, I changed them to the language).

(1) By artist name, or by style of music. I.e., "Irish trad," "Qawwali," "Afro pop." Manipulate the Genre field; it's useless otherwise.
(2) Because I digest a lot of music, most of my playlists are based on when something was put in the library, and which are my favorites. "2009 favorites," and a smart playlist "Last 30 Days" get the most use.
(3) Because Last.fm doesn't distinguish between multiple images for most artists.

If you're looking to arrange by English and other languages, I'd use the Grouping field in iTunes. Check it out.

i never use genre. i have a playlist for every album, and some custom ones for things that make sense together (all blue note, all sarah records, local bands, etc)
