I'm working on a site that will deliver video at 16:9 aspect ratio. My grid currently means that the video player size is 795x447.
This is not an exact ratio of square pixels.
Does this matter for delivering video?
Will it still work?

It should work. 795x447 is still 16:9 ratio

You could either distort the video (squish) or trim the edges by masking. Your choice.
but 795x447 is 16:9??

Have done some testing with Sorenson Squeeze and you cannot export a 16:9 video with an odd number of pixels. Strange, but true.
FYI: here is a list of pixel resolutions that divide perfectly into 16:9 ratio:
672x378
688x387
704x396
720x405
736x414
752x423
768x432
784x441
800x450
816x459
832x468
848x477

http://andrew.hedges.name/experi…why not transfer the video to square pixels?
- it will be square pixels, just that (795/16) x 9 = Not a round number.bananaman
