Just got everything back together on my latest project and I'm having a terrible time with where to place the decals. I have artwork for the ones shown and I'm pretty set on using that design if I use any. Any opinions on whether it looks better without anything at all? I've just been looking at this thing for a while and nothing is looking good to me.
Thanks!

no decals please, can we opt for a new font on the "59"?

black heat wrap the exhaust, possibly the muffler too, (if you're not too attached to it)

paint it matte black.

I always read a non-decaled tank as "dumped the bike and had to get it repainted."
I know that's not an accurate statement, but it is my first impulse.

Nice bike, do you just do trackdays or race?
How big is the decal? I always feel bikes look too plain without any decals. If its only about 4-6inchs long I'd plonk it probably a good few inches above and back where you have the rubber stopper between the frame and the tank. Alternatively could you get a badge made up for it? Give it a more classic look.
- only trackdays so nothing too crazy. I do have some nice little scrapes on the pipes that didn't come from falling... A great source of pride for me :).
ntslide - Love the badge idea! I could make one tonight.ntslide
- Cool, looking to do a few this year myself, once it gets a bit warmer over here.Devilman

I agree with the 'dumped the bike' logic. that's my biggest argument against keeping it naked. As far as the new front end, love to but I'm not putting any more money into it at this point.
I was thinking about a 3 color pinstripe (ITA color) very small at the bottom of the tank... I've seen it on some guzzi's like that and love the look... bad idea?
thanks again, this is fueling the fire right now.
- Sounds good, like the detailing on the seat. Get a carbon fibre can!Devilman

I did it white because it's a little bit more modest. it's a 900 supersport on an original 750 frame (really no different looks wise) so I'm liking the mystery bike vibe. I've got an SR500 that is going to be my crazy cafe looker. I love the orange for that. Thanks for the tip.
