i got a 2.16, 2GB ram. 120HD
works fine. adobe creative suite, final cut, ae, reason, maya.
just which i had bigger HD.fyi. get a external HD. 800 firewire. (ministack) or something eles.

i think the biggest limit is probably the drive (and the gloss display on the 15" which makes doing color pretty much impossible). but it's a screamer of a machine.

I have the new 15", 2.8ghz, 4gb ram, 320gb 7200rpm drive.
I have no issues running any of the CS4 programs. I use After Effects, Photoshop, Final Cut studio and Logic Studio daily. This MBP has no trouble handling these programs. Rendering out of AE is surprisingly fast. I am editing two music videos, both full 1080p, High-Def Apple Pro Res files and it's handling multiple streams in FinalCut Studio 2 wonderfully.
I highly recommend this computer!

I got the new one too with the same spec as above, except for one thing; an SSD disk (and not the ones from apple).
It makes a sheiss-load of difference.
Boot up time - a few secs
Booting up CS4 - 3 secs?

I have last gen one (2.4ghtz, 2 gig ram), great for all my photography and design stuffs. Handles 21mp raws fine.
