... is Internet Explorer so shit. And why does Firefox refuse to display a div with a percentage height properly.
Why, Im at the stage now where i think if I just refresh the page enough times it'll magically work.
Well it doesn't.

Yeah but i've got to test it in all and its going to be mainly viewed in IE.
I think I may cry.

I've found I get less and less IE layout issues the more I use the 960 grid system.

i say fuck web design. i'm a web designer and i'm moving to print ASAP. the technical side fucks me off
- designbot0
What I don't get is why can't you align divs? instead you have to float them next to one another....unlike aligning...this means they can float over the top of one another. It's like your using imaginary borders. wtf!
- oh yes. oh yes indeedy.shitehawke
- hang on, are you me?shitehawke
- haha seriously. In the same nightmare :Pdesignbot

People who use IE are the same people that convince you to design in Word. Fuck 'em.
- jimbojones0
By the way, what would be IE's market share, if the web designers (or whatever they call them) would stop testing if everything works in IE?

1. Use a css reset.
2. For divs with a % height in FF, you must define the height of its parent element first.
- I have the parent box height set in ems which is fine for safari and IE but not FF.shitehawke

Anyway, anyone know why a div with a 66% height won't display propery in FF?
- because it's almost 666. get it? 666!jimbojones
- Posted this before page had refreshed...shitehawke
- oh fuck.shitehawke
- designbot0
What does CSS reset do?
- It resets all the browser defaults so you start with a clean slate, so to speak.shitehawke
- interesting. Seems like a good tool if you are experiencing cross browser issues..which I'm not for once :)designbot
