I've had a site for ten years that has acted as an archive and online portfolio. I get aroud 4500 hits a week, half of which are unique. I'm getting bored / don't see the point anymore of having a 'static' folio site and have integrated flickr temporarily instead. Somehow flickr or similar seems more relevant than just images. Anyone else thinking similar? Interactivity seems the norm now?

Well it took me a while to 'embrace' it but I think it's a good thing now. I wonder how much there is left in static things, like the 'is painting dead' arguement. I wonder if the demise of personal sites is upon us.

well I run a publishers so I'm offline already - just think social folios are a good thing at the mo. Tomroow I might change my mind though!

If your work is good, it doesn't need any interactivity.

maybe my works rubbish then. Maybe some of it's ok.

I think even a static site is good. It shows that you know at least a minimum of web knowledge as well.
