Got one a couple days ago. It's very handy because it fits in my pocket. Am I a wannabe hipster artist now?

I'm pissed that they don't make a larger music notebook. The pocket one is nice, but having just 4 or 5 short staves per page is a bitch.

they are alright, custom sketch pads are still better.

You are not a wannabe hipster artist for having a Moleskine product. I despise those greasy bitch-pant wearing fucks and I swear by my Moleskine journals (no lines).

"Although Moleskine srl claims their notebook has been used by well-known artists and writers, such as Picasso, Matisse, Kurakin and Hemingway, the brand Moleskine was officially registered only in 1996. Francesco Franceschi, head of Modo & Modo's marketing department, was quoted as saying, "It's an exaggeration. It's marketing, not science. It's not the absolute truth."

Moleskin notebooks are slick, but they run $14 - $20 dollars here in Vancouver... for bound paper.
It just seems a little expensive. If you were so inclined, you could make your own for around $7: http://www.instructables.com/id/…
- $14-$20 for a pack of three soft-covers maybe.monospaced
