I've heard of this before. It's a known issue.
Someone posted about this some time ago.

...the didn't make g4 "macbook pros" you have an intel chip.
that being said, your video card is going bad. happens in the macbooks. happened in mine and i had to get my "logic board" replaced. twice.
thankfully my shit was still under warranty.
apple's hardware is crap.

- you're on drugs. the "macbook" line was their entrance to the intel chips. g4's went out under the "powerbook" line.sublocked
- either that or you have some bootleg chinese knockoff.sublocked
- hahaha, no mang, got it from the sto'. Anyway, that's not the point! wtf do i do now?OSFA
- ...you're fucked. recycle it. or go buy a new "logic board" at the apple store.sublocked

are you getting any other weird display artifacts? my shit was fragmenting the screen into weird vector shapes, and showing strange lines that would persist on the screen.
the final kicker was when the thing started locking up every 30 minutes. that's when you know it's fucked.

Didn't you like, get an Air? Then use it!

my logic board went 3 times and apple gave me a new computer in my last year of applecare.
I can't complain too hard.

Not getting better... morning bump!

video card - things can only get worse I'm afraid. Happened on my wifes laptop too - exactly the same. Now she can't even see that part of the screen. Sorry to break it to you but on the PC we were told it was cheaper to buy new machine than replace the screen and/or card.

you can barely notice it

Try and find an authorized Apple repair store around you that's nice... I never had this problem specifically, but in other instances they have given me a much better repair deal than Apple by using parts from other models they had lying around (like taking the keyboard and logic board from a MacBook Pro someone had traded in with a dead screen).
