Do you use one? Which one should I get without spending $900 on a new apple Cinema Display.

I wanted a cheapy ... but went for a LACIE ... I am so pleased.
(my backup display is a Sony CRT ... still works great after 10 years)

just went through this. Bought a Dell monitor from Best Buy, returned it because the color reproduction seemed crappy (compared to work monitor) and the resolution was too low. Then bought an HP monitor that was slightly more expensive and had higher resolution, but the colors were worse and the screen was glossy which i didn't like. I returned that, then I was going to just say fuck it and get the mac monitor, but balked at the glossy screen thing and the price. So i ended up getting a used 20" Cinema Display
off of ebay for $250. It's in great shape and works perfect. I have zero warranty though so if it dies I'm screwed.- oh and you need a converter even with this puppy. It outputs dvi and for a macbook i believe you need mini dviwrong
