Just got an unsolicited email from a company in Brasil offering CSS/XML/XHTML,AS3,Video/3D etc.

At first it seemed like the usual spam from companies that offer cut price services.
I realised that they had an actual site - not like a lot of these business proposals lol.

So I clicked on the link.

    http://www.blackdrop.us/

One of the first things my eyes were drawn to was the QBN logo at the bottom of the page.
I presume that someone on here works for this company.

From their portfolio it actually looks like they do pretty good work and their own site is ok.
It's mad that a company would risk being SPAM Blacklisted in an attempt to get new business.
    Desperation?

Their email follows; (notice it isnt even addressed to anyone, nice personal touch eh? lol)

    Dear,

I would like to introduce my company to you, and would like to explore the possibility of a partnership between our companies. We are an online marketing creative services company with strong development skills providing resources for interactive agencies worldwide.

With the current flux in currency rates between our countries, the dollar remains to be competitive in our economy, and enables companies like yours to acquire services from us at 50% lower than comparable skills in the U.S. or Europe.

At the same time, we offer high quality services with expertise in Online technology and with emphasis on software development standards like CSS2, XHTML, complex flash projects using XML, AS3, video/3D animations and rendering, and Papervision. We can also help you from concept to prototype, or any art direction.

A short list of our clients includes: Razorfish (U.S.), Unibet (U.K.), Domani Studios (U.S.), Jim Beam, and Makers Mark.

I invite you to take a look at our web site: www.blackdrop.us , and to feel free to contact me with any questions or pricing information at any time.

I look forward to your reply,

    Guilherme Maia

    CEO, BlackDrop

Who is the Black'Drop QBN'er then?
they obviously use qbn if they have their affiliation link at the bottom of their site

has anyone ever used this company?

or is this a slick front end for some dodgy brazilian company that's going to do a runner with yer munner?
