A licensed concealed handgun owner from Waco, Texas hurt more than his pride on Monday when his weapon accidentally discharged while he was reaching for his wallet at a Dallas Walmart store.Police said that Todd Canady, 23, was in the checkout line when he fired the pistol he was carrying inside his pants.
“The bullet struck Canady in the buttock, then ricochet on the floor and broke into pieces,” KDFW reported. Two children and a woman were also wounded when they were struck by bullet fragments.

I'm with albums here.
Let's make more guns, I hope they get rid of necessary permits, NO WEAPON SHOULD BE ILLEGAL! If you have money you can get a gun.I mean, according to your logic, anyone can buy a car right so we might as well do the same with these killing machines.

if you can complain that a man hurt himself plus injured a child and a woman with a gun I can make the same argument with a car.
it was an accident.
cars kill more accidentally than guns do purposefully.

This argument will never end, because on one side you have facts and statistics. On the other side, emotion.

Who said anything about banning? Gun control ≠ banning. Fuck this black and white, red vs blue, left vs right parasitic bullshit that destroys intelectual discourse.

It's a horrible sight that two Spokane Valley parents will never forget: This weekend Danny and Tracy Packard watched a car run over their two-year-old daughter and then speed away.

these car examples i've posted are relevant regardless if you'd like to contest them at every turn.
these examples illustrate the vehicle was intentionally used as a weapon to kill. if accidental deaths are okay with cars, these examples should not be.
they prove the same point i've been making since the first time i ever chimed in on guns on NT
people are the problem, there are an excessive number of ways to kill someone, obviously, humans have no problems using axes, knives or cars as weapons to kill fellow human beings.
I don't really care if you agree because it's an undeniable fact.

very similar to accidentally shooting yourself and honestly a lot harder to do if you ask me.
- has anyone mentioned it to Albums that cars and guns are a little more than different?scruffics

point being, its not hard to find murderers using weapons of all sorts, banning guns will only change the weapon of choice, not remove the intent from the individual.

As a pit bull owner I deal with a very similar argument. I adopted a messed up rescue dog that needed my help. I love him more than anything but know that he has some issues and needs to be controlled. But because I am a responsible owner doesn't mean that the next guy isn't breeding dogs to fight. It has been proven that Breed Specific Legislation does not work, it never stops the evil people from doing what they are going to do, so a ban is not going to stop the criminal element from using a gun.

I think the issue is that guns make it easier to kill. Yes there will always be bad people out there, but how easy it is to act out on their emotions?
One statistic that I found interesting is that despite the huge difference in murders between the U.S. and U.K., the number of suicides is about the same. In the U.S., people tend to use guns to kill themselves, while in the U.K. they use pills or other means. Without access to guns, they simply used alternative means.
However with murder there isn't such a good alternative to guns. Regardless of whatever random examples you can come up with, it simply isn't as easy to run someone over or stab them as it is to gun them down. And especially for mass murder like the Colorado shooting, there is almost no way to do without guns.
- I'm not a fan of guns but they are easy to get...a ban is not going to make them harder to get and it's not going to make people stop using themFawnDog
