Hi guys - just launched my first an i-phone app wondered what people thought of the idea - basically called iSkive and allows you to play sound effects down your i-phone in mid conversation, such as a doorbell ringing, another phone going off, a construction crew digging up the road, static interference and some other ones - lets you get rid of that caller who won't hang up so you can make your excuses.
Anyway wondered if anyone could give an opinion on what it looks like, and if you can afford the 0.59p - download and test it out - and maybe fire over some suggestions for improvements - anything gratefully received :)

Quite a fun idea, but asking people to pay to test it out? Not sure that is very clever.

its not so much a test as its fully functional - so it was a case of if you think its cool then download it and give me feedback - but i initially just wondered also about the general style of it visually and what people thought might improve it for the next version.
it hought about posting before development but then your idea is in public domain so cant really do that
I have a limited number of download free codes I can give out for anything that is a good idea - and would private message one to anyone with any interesting new features.
thanks again

"Compatible with iPhone and iPod touch (2nd generation)"
Haha, why would you need this app on iPod touch?

Probably because the OS is almost identical, minus the GSM/3G component. Can you use the same app with VoIP software? Is there even VoIP for iPhones/iPod Touch? (I'm a blackberry user, not an iPhone user unfortunately)

yeah you can skype on the ipod touch with the wifi access - or even hold it up to your landline phone when in mid call :)

i thought about the one where you set a timer and your phone phones you in the middle of meetings.
There are plenty of sound trigger apps out there already.
What about using wifi somehow. to trigger your computer to make the sound (in another room so it sounds even more realistic as being a faroff doorbell) or trigger sounds on another iphone.
You can do the latter with the SOUNDBOX app

I dont think many ppl with the original iPhone will buy this app as the loud speaker is shit.
It also costs nothing to say "ya boring me now I'm going, c ya"

I tried to buy it but it's more than 10mb so can't download it straight to my iPhone. I have no wifi and can't be bothered getting out of bed to go to the study. Plus I told my wife I would go to bed the same time as her for a change. I will try it at work. Screen grab on the app store looks ok and applish enough.
