I'm wearing a reiss shirt. It has fantastic complex double stitching in the pattern which holds it shape over months and months of washes and makes a great line to it in general. The fabric is thick and dense but remains soft, giving it a real feel of genuine quality. I love my Reiss shirt.
I also eat shit for kicks and I'm secretly fucking the pool boy behind my wife's back.

I had a Reiss shirt once back in the late 80's. It was a slightly ivory off white colour and wash made of silk. On the shoulder yoke though it had a vibrant photographic print of some lovely red and orange flowers.
It went great with my jelled back hair, my tweed pleated front trousers, and my pods.

...and secretly, while noone was looking, Daniel Eatock crept into Fashionland, and handily standardised all the websites, before stealing away in a puff of smoke...

thing is guys, sorry to burst any bubbles, but I reckon its entirely appropriate that all the fashion brand's websites should look exactly the same, as lets face it, all the fashion brands look exactly the same, all their collateral looks exactly the same, all their photography looks exactly the same and everything about them is practically identical, eh?
- hmm I don´t agreeMau
- that's ok, I don't mindkelpie
- ;) but when you´re not working in that business I can understand that someone feels like youMau
- and everything looks a bit the sameMau
- there are many reasons why a luxury brand needs to provide a special "style"Mau
- I'm sure there are, and a loy of its beautiful and worked on by the best. but it is all quite conformist.kelpie
- (not that its bad to conform to something good, in an appropriate space))kelpie
- yeah I exactly know what you meanMau

Kelpie, its the subtle stitching and inner lining that makes all the difference
- and the open tracking, and the centre aligned brand, and the middle distance glances, and the parted lips...kelpie
- hehe, sorry I'm just poking fun...kelpie
- me too ye gooberkuttyranks

and the "rules" just counts for "luxury" fashion brands. not for general fashion.

as far as websites go, this is just a logical layout so it sorta makes sense that they're all the same...
Most fashion brands aren't willing [nor should they really] venture into anything very conceptual at least on a design level, save Diesel and a few other [mostly Scandi].. usually all the 'creative' is put into photo shoots...
Funny thing about Diesel though is, their image seems to be quite disconnected to the clothes and the twats that actually wear them.. I love all their campaigns, well haven't followed them much over the past 2 years, but I wouldn't be caught dead walking into one of their stores...
anyways...... there is still no excuse for the bevelled logos...
- I sometimes go in there with my fold up directors chair and just watch the cuntskelpie
- haha... they'd kick my scrawny ass...neue75_bold

(I'm ripping the piss here, btw, there's a point in there somewhere but its vastly overshadowed by my inherent love of quality typography and really nice photography played out with the minimum of graphic fuss)
but hey, if it prompts debate, I'm all for watching it from afar
