have any of you guys ever hacked cameras? Made your own frankenstein model?

Get a Holga, i have both and i love my holga, i find it a bit more usable than my diana, in the diana the film is so loose and floppy, where as in the holga you can make it tighter so you get a sharper print ( if you want to)

I think the GN (Glass Lens, Bulb Mode + tripod thread)
I have the N or S (the first one with a plastic lens and nothing else)
Dont get one of these colour flash ones, you don't want to have to lug batteries around, it also starts to make the Holga a bit too serious!
I have hacked my holga too, well i forced an upstep adaptor onto the plastic lens so i can use filters...

If tyou're getting a holga don't expect all the photos to look liek the ones in the holga book, the factory is a much higher standard, the photos will basically just look like a bad camera these days. It's still a cute cam, I modified mine a bit to get it look dirtier like:
the diana is nice for B&W, the holga is a fun camera though. for 120 stuff I still love my Kiev :]- plus if you don't already have an lca get one, find an old one on ebay for about £60

im not a designer:
i made a self-timer for my holga.
it involved putting the Ringflash on holga (it has a flash trigger sensor)
put holga on tripod in dark living room
primed the ringflash ready
set my nokia mobile phone in behind the ringflash so that when the phone flash went off, it would trigger the ringflash.
opened the shutter of the holga and held it open with a bit of card on lever.
set timer on phone to take photo, placed phone behind ringflash, ran round in front of camera 3,2,1 "FLASH"
it took a photo (illuminated with flash).
then i took another 2 pics on the same frame.worked really well but could only be used in a dark room like that lol.
another mod is magnetic lenses.
you can buy wide angle and zoom ones on ebay for pounds.
they fit onto the front of your lc-a/holga/diana easily
