Online calendar hosting for school - bookings etc

Hi, I'm looking for a system to manage an online calendar for a school that gives workshops. The space in the workshops are limited so the system would have to limit the allowed number of bookings and keep track of all that... you get the drift. It could be hosted service that we hook into or an install we put on our web site.

thanks for the meetup link, i love that web site, but I'm looking for a solution to integrate into an existing web site, here are some more requirements to be specific:
1. we want to be able to accept payments for workshops online.
2. notify people of changes / cancelations etc
