it's not trade gothic. 100% sure.
However it looks a little like Univers LT Std 49 Light Ultra Condensed, but it's not it. univers condensed is not that condensed imo.

You can argue with free. Most free fonts make terrible text fonts cause they don't have the alternates and kerning of a pro font.
that probably isn't such a problem with this particular application.
