Can anyone tell me what a (senior) freelance graphic designer makes in New Zealand? I have no idea of the wages/hourly rates. Thanks!

I'm back in NZ after spending about 10 years away after working in the UK/Asia. Have kept my links with clients abroad and they seem to love pinging a brief to me before they go home and waking up to a solution in their in box, 1st thing in the morning. Also nice to earn foreign currency whilst the NZ dollar isn't that strong.
In regards to rates here... as a senior designer I think you can look at charging NZ$100+ an hour... but most work I've come across has been charged per project and I've worked within that.
Saying that I have been working in isolation and still working out the lay of the land after a year here.

$40-$100k NZD depending on location, agency, etc etc.
Anything outside Auckland or Wellington, knock $20k off EASILY.

@terminal27, I have a NZ residence permit. Took me 1,5 years to get one but I did it :) Animation skills and graphic design are on NZ's shortage skills list, my qualification and work experience were my way in.
