you should hear the cunts on my bus route to and from work if you think Limmy's characters are bad. I've lived in glasgow for 12 years and I can't tell what they're saying.
There are cunts in Glasgow who I am convinced have never fully closed or fully opened their mouths in their lives

im scottish and i even thought that. maybe its just that you dont hear such a broad and true scottish accent spoken at normal speed on tv that much.
he speaks the same on his web stuff yet it doesnt seem as "broad" cos its online?

Was it just me or did you find it hard to understand some of the slang used in the show, Bloody Northerners. :)

I watched it last night and it was not bad at all, the Kid on the Bus was funny, and the dreaming man. hahah

'Interesting'. If I hadn't known of Limmy from the old days, I'd've been left wondering what exactly Auntie had wasted her cash on this time. Some of the first show was amusing - though I don't know if I just felt it personally amusing, hearing abrasive forms of accent that I'm no longer really exposed to ('oh, I say'). Though, given my immediate family's slight snobbishness towards its roots, I've always felt a little awkward critting severe Weegieness - pretty it might not be, but no more ugly than the pretension of the other provinces.
- Sorry. Late night. Little tea, makes sense, or pretending to be of interest, this does not.Nairn

it was the sickness of the Reqium that makes intreaguingly funny as you are left asking yourself "has he REALLY phones up a wee kid or is he pretending?"
It wasnt the BB audition sketch on the prog last night, was a new one with Jacqueline McCafferty.
think its on BBC1 tonight

Some really funny bits, I dont think it had the edge of a lot of his web stuff. Pretty sure thats the Beeb's doing though and not Limmy's, there wasnt anything quite so offensive as "reqium!".
