My ADD has its own ADD, which means before I even think about doing something I'm bored with it.

I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was a kid, but my mom just decided I was an asshole and wouldn't put me on medication, haha. She would invent games like, "See how many times you can run around the block", "how many times can you jump on one foot", and a host of others. Eventually I would just tire myself out as opposed to driving everyone around me nuts. She'd sit and read, and I would zoom by her hellbent on beating "the record".
She put all of my energy into "games" to me, but I saw them as challenges and being that I always wanted to win at everything it didn't even matter if there was (and almost always) no competition to save me from ever losing, haha. "See if you can do as many dishes as your brother did when he was your age!" Seh would say that with a big smile on her face, and I bought that shit hook line and sinker, hahah.
Eventually it kind of worked itself out, I wasn't so much ADHD as I was just extremely over-active and still am. I could and still can focus when I want to, it just had to be things that interested me otherwise I'd rather spend my time doing something that I could get something out of.
I'm sure it's diagnosed correctly in some cases, but I know it's also been quite the catch-all at times.
Oh that and I am an asshole.

- picked it out. Which helped me develop speed reading at quite a young age, haha. I would finish a book - and so I wouldn't get another one********
- get another one, I'd go back to the beginning and sit and day dream about other stuff slowly turning pages like I was reading but would be able to talk about it.********

I actually have it and it fuckn suck,
but at my time it wasn't call adhd but distraction,
I have heard like a trillion time that I'm too distracted...

I tried ritalin but more on a recreative side and hated it. I can't believe they give this shit too kids, I rather have them take some coke- did you go to a doc? did he do some tests or something?jimbojones
